RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information Pervaiz Rasheed asked on Wednesday that which Shariah permits slaughtering of prisoners adding that even the state enemies didn’t slaughter our prisoners. Shahidullah Shahid should have formed a committee if he had any complaint, he said.
Addressing the press, Pervaiz Rasheed said that the responsibility was accepted proudly after slaughtering prisoners. He said that the government wants to reach destination of peace without confrontation.
If Taliban spokesman Shahidullah Shahid had any issues, they should have told the committee, he complained. No one should be under wrong impression about our defense capabilities, he warned.
Information minister said that Pervez Musharraf’s case is in the court; adding that there’s rule of law in Pakistan and no one can escape.
The dialogue process faltered after a faction of the insurgent group announced on Sunday they had killed 23 kidnapped FC personnel.
Excluding the kidnapped soldiers, some 60 people have died in violence since Prime Minister Sharif announced the peace talks on January 29.
