KARACHI (Dunya News) - At least 10 persons were killed when a truck overturned on Lyari Expressway on Wednesday.
As per details, a speedy truck hit a mini-truck that overturned and then fell into Lyari River killing five children and five women.
The rescue teams rushed to the scene and started search operation. The dead bodies were recovered from water and shifted to hospital.
According to Dunya News, the mini-truck, carrying the passengers, was going to Quetta from Karachi when another speedy truck hit it.
Police cordoned off the area and started search operation to arrest the accused drivers.
The victims of the accident were members of the same family. The women killed in the accident were indentified as Sobia, Nasreen, Samreen and Afshan whereas the children were identified as Farooq, Harris, Ansar and Hoor Bibi.
