Interior Ministry declares Islamabad 'most dangerous city'

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Ministry has declared Islamabad as the most dangerous city.

According to a report presented to standing committee of National Assembly, federal capital was termed the ‘sleeper cell’ of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) and Al Qaeda.

The report stated that cross-border criminal elements had become active these days. The interior ministry said certain evidences have proved that India was involved in deteriorating law and order situation in Azad Kashmir.

Illegal weapons and terrorists were invading in Pakistan through western and eastern borders. Meanwhile, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan were the most dangerous groups in Punjab.

In Sindh, presence of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Al Qaeda militants and target killers were reported.
