Summary Gas supply to several areas was suspended after the explosion.

GHOTKI (Web Desk) – Two people were killed as a 36-inch gas pipeline exploded in Sindh’s Ghotki district today (Wednesday), Dunya News reported.

The explosion was caused by leakage of gas in the wee hours in Mir Kosh village.

In the incident, two security guards died and two others were injured.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.

According to police, the incident was not an act of terrorism and occurred due to leakage of gas.

After the pipeline explosion, the supply of gas was suspended to various cities and towns of Punjab.

Gas supply to Guddu Thermal Power Plant was also suspended. Resultantly, power shortfall was increased by 450MW.
