KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) dismissed a second request by the Sindh government seeking an extension in the date for holding local bodies (LB) polls in the province.
The Sindh government has repeatedly requested the ECP to hold the elections in March but the provincial government is now disappointed after the decision.
Earlier on Thursday, Chief Secretary Sindh had held a meeting with Acting Chief Election Commissioner and had informed him of the provinces reluctance to hold polls on January 18.
