Summary A voter turnout of 40 percent was recorded in LG polls in Balochistan.

QUETTA (Dunya News) - Vote count for local government in Balochistan is underway. The polling ended at 5PM and results of few constituencies were then declared.

According to election commission sources, a turnout of 40 percent was recorded in Balochistan LG polls. According to initial results, candidates of National Party including Baloch Nawaz Zehri, Muhammad Iqbal advocate, Mir Abdul Hameed, Bangalzai Akbar Muhammad won from Mastung.

In Pashin and Loralai, candidates of Pashtoun Khawa Mili Awami party won in majority. 

Meanwhile JUI-F and JUI-Nazaryati had won most seats in Chaman, Qila Saifullah and Qila Abdullah.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidates won from Dera Murad Jamali, Derullah Yar and Naseerabad while 35 percent of candidates were elected unopposed.

Voting for local bodies in Balochistan started early morning at 8:00AM in most districts of the province today.

Over 17,000 candidates contested for 4,168 seats. The Election Commission established 5,715 polling stations while 11,847 booths were setup across the province.
