(Web Desk) - Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik has said that except a few incidents‚ the election process has remained peaceful so far.
Talking to media in Quetta on Saturday, the Chief Minister said credit of conducting local government elections in a peaceful manner goes to the people of Balochistan.
“We have implemented the Supreme Court s orders by holding local bodies elections. In this way‚ we have proved that the people of Balochistan are true democrats and believe in democracy.” he added.
It may be mentioned here that 55,000 security personnel have been deployed across the province to avert any untoward incident during the election process.
Section 144 has been imposed across the province while pillion riding has also been banned on the occasion.
