KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh High Court Justice Syed Farooq Shah has referred the contempt of court petition against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to the Chief Justice Maqbool Baqir of the same court.
The petition has been filed by Mehmood Akhtar Naqvi who took the stance the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif while talking to the media termed the judges scared that is tantamount to contempt of the court.
Taking more grounds, the petitioner further said that Nawaz Sharif doesn’t meet the criteria set by the Article 62, 63 of the constitution.
When the petition was put before SHC Justice Syed Farooq Shah, he referred it to Chief Justice Maqbool Baqir and recommended that two-member bench should be formed in order hear the aforesaid petition regarding contempt of court against the prime minister.
