KARACHI (Dunya News) Rangers and police have arrested more than 85 accused including gang war so-called commander Jabbar alias Langra and Shaikh Adil hailing from a banned outfit during joint operations in different localities in the metropolis on Friday.
On the other hand, five people were killed in different incidents of violence in the city.
Police and Rangers jointly conducted a raid in Sangoline and arrested gang war head Jabbar alias Langra along with his aide Rehan Patni.
The accused Jabbar is said to have been involved in more than 100 bids of crime including murder attempt, abduction for ransom, encounters and narcotics.
On the tip off, secret agencies, police and Rangers arrested Shaikh Adil member of a banned outfit during an operation.
The accused also pinpointed the accused was involved in an attack on the rally arranged for hailing slain leader Benazir Bhutto in 2007.
In the same way, security forces arrested more than 35 accused from different areas during joint operation.
Besides, forces raided on the dwelling of Baba Ladla and arrested four alleged accused out of whom possession, heavy quantity of arms and ammunition have been recovered.
Two accused also have been arrested from Landhi Majeed Colony. They are said to have ties with a political party.
In South Zone, police also have arrested about 39 accused including 12 declared absconders.
On the other hand, Abdul Qadir and Muhammad Afzal Jan were killed in firing incidents. In the same way, former UC Nazin Akram Siddiqui in Orangi Town and Abdul Sami in Momin Abad were gunned down.
Police also have recovered a disfigured body of an ill-fated man who might have been killed after torture.
