Summary PM Nawaz Sharif will address the UN's General Assembly session on 27 September.

ISLAMABAD (Online) - Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will leave for New York today (Sunday) to lead Pakistan s delegation at the General Assembly Session of the United Nations.

According sources, Sartaj Aziz and many other members of PM delegation have already reached New York.

According to reports, he will address the General Assembly session on Friday 27 September.

He will highlight Pakistan s foreign policy guidelines‚ its point of view on various regional and international issues besides domestic priorities.

The Prime Minister in his address to the General Assembly will also apprise the session on the efforts of the present government to curb the menace of terrorism besides its endeavor to bring stability to the region.

During his week-long stay in the New York‚ the Prime Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with world leaders on the sidelines of the General Assembly session.

He will discuss various bilateral and regional issues with these leaders.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is also expected to attend various events during his stay in New York including high-level meetings on millennium development goals‚ sustainable development and nuclear disarmament.
