Summary Saddaruddin Rashdi says his party will support targeted operation against culprits in Karachi.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Functional has opposed handing over of Karachi to army to control law and order situation.

Talking to newsmen in Karachi on Saturday‚ Leader of Pakistan Muslim League-F Saddaruddin Shah Rashdi said this would be harmful for the democracy in the province.

He said PML-F would support targeted operation against the culprits in Karachi instead of bringing Army in the city.

He said political parties should take decisions to strengthen the Federation.

On the other hand MQM leadership is insisting for the deployment of army in Karachi.

MQM leader Farooq Sattar earlier said that police nad Rangers had totally failed in controlling the Karachi situation.

PPP and ANP have also opposed the idea of handing over of Karachi to army.

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz and it government in the centre has come up with no clear-cut stance over the issues.
