Summary Sattar says Rangers and police are helpless, federal govt must fulfill its responsibility.
KARACHI: Talking to media persons here Saturday Farooq Sattar said police and Rangers had failed in protecting lives and property of the people in Karachi.
The performance of Rangers too has been unsatisfactory and controvertial, he said.
He said Karachi was hosting Rangers under Article 147 for last so many years without any result.
“MQM is not demanding calling in of army under Article 245 but under Article 147,” he said.
Farooq said MPAs and MNAs were being murdered in daylight and innocent people were losing lives on daily basis but government was unmoved.
He insisted that democracy should be introduced at the grass root level.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar has said the Sindh government was not ready to digest his party’s role as the opposition.
Sattar warned against repeating politics of 90s and said that lists were being prepared to arrest the opponents as part of political vendetta.
The MQM leader said that intolerance for constructive opposition was indication of dictatorial thought.
While referring to reports on presence of an obscure militant group, he said a buzz about the Muhajir Liberation Army was being created on purpose.
