Senate passes resolution against LoC firing by India

Summary Senate Monday unanimously passed a resolution condemning unprovoked firing on LoC by India.

 

ISLAMABAD (Online) - The 97th Session of the Senate began in Islamabad on Monday afternoon with Deputy Chairman Sabir Ali Baloch in the chair.

 

The chair announced the panel of the Presiding Officers for the current session. Its members include Chaudhary Jaffar Iqbal‚ Gul Muhammad Lot and Nasreen Jalil. The House offered Fateha for the departed soul of the son of Senator Saeed Ghani.

 

The resolution moved by Leader of the House Raja Zafarul Haq says Pakistan wants peaceful relations with all the neighbouring countries but it will not accept any aggression on its sovereignty.

 

The House also unanimously approved another resolution moved by Mian Raza Rabbani condemning the ongoing violence in Egypt and toppling of a democratically elected government.
