Summary The law enforcement agencies have failed to restore peace in Karachi.


KARACHI (Dunya News) - Five people were killed and six others injured in different firing and violent incidents in the metropolis.

 

Police said that some unknown armed persons last night opened fire near Jamia Milia in Malir area injuring seven persons of them one succumbed to his injuries, while the assailants fled away.

 

The deceased was identified as Shamshad, 40. The body was later shifted to Civil Hospital. Meanwhile, the police said that the deceased was first tortured and later shot dead.

 

Another person was killed in a firing incident near Kaghazi Bazaar in Meethadar area. The deceased was identified as Jaffar.

 

Meanwhile, unidentified gunmen opened firing in Machchar Colony of Docks area, killing a person on spot.

 

Besides, two persons sustained injuries in Malir and Agra Taj Colony firing incidents.
