Summary Khursheed Shah recommended names of Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza and Justice (retd) Rana Bhagwandas
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Tuesday suggested two names for the post of chairman National Accountability Bureau NAB.
Khursheed Shah recommended names of Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza and Justice (retd) Rana Bhagwandas.
A response letter containing the names has been forwarded to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday.
The government had earlier recommended two names, Justice Rehmat Hussain Jaffery and former federal secretary Khwaja Zahiruddin Ahmed, as suitable replacements for Admiral (retd) Fasih Bukhari who was removed from his post on Supreme Court’s directives.
Talking to media, Khurshed Shah said that the names for NAB chairman Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza and Justice (retd) Rana Bhagwandas.have been sent to the PM.
Shah said these two persons were best choice for top post of accountability body and nobody could object over these two names. He said we have talked to PTI and MQM to seek their opinion on the names but no response was given from their side.
The Supreme Court had earlier expressed displeasure over the non-appointment of NAB chief despite court orders.
Admiral Bokhari was removed on May 29 and his appointment was declared illegal by the apex court.
