Summary Pervaiz Rashid says leakage of report to foreign media will be investigated.

 

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has said the matter of leakage of the report of Abbottabad Commission on a foreign media outlet would be investigated and those responsible would be held accountable

 

Talking to the media here on Tuesday, the minister replying to a question regarding leakage of Abbottabad Commission report by foreign media he said first we have to see if the report aired on foreign channel is factual or fiction and than we would investigate.

 

He said the date for holding the all parties conference will be decided after consultations with all the parliamentary parties. The minister said earlier the date of 12 July was proposed after taking on board Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaaf and other political parties. Initially‚ Pakistani Teheek-e- Insaaf chairman expressed his consent to attend the conference but later he excused himself from attending the moot because of his foreign visit.

 

He said it was our desire that Imran Khan attends the conference in view of his stance on the national security. He said that Imran Khan and the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa‚ the province worst affected by the menace of terrorism‚ had also asked the prime minister to convene a meeting to discuss the national security issues.

 

The minister said the main objective of the conference is to evolve consensus national security strategy aimed at strengthening the writ of the state and ensuring sovereignty of the country being violated by both the drone attacks and the killers of innocent people including polio workers.

 

Responding to a question‚ Pervaiz Rashid said nobody will come for the rescue of former President Pervez Musharraf as the case against him is not based on vengeance but the law has taken its course against him.

 

Regarding Altaf Hussain, he said that the matter was not taken up with UK PM David Cameron. Their laws are very strict and anyone who helps a criminal is regarded as a criminal.

 

Regarding EOBI corruption case, he said no one will escape the due course of law irrespective of whether they belong to PML-N or any other party.
