MIRANSHAH: At least six security forces’ personnel were killed and another injured on Sunday when militants targeted their convoy with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and two rockets on Ramak Road in Miranshah, the headquarters of North Waziristan tribal region.

 

According to official sources, a security forces’ convoy was heading from Miranshah to Bannu when it came under attack on Ramak Road with an IED. Moreover, two rockets were also fired at the security forces’ vehicle, killing three soldiers and injuring another.

 

Subsequently, security forces imposed a curfew in the area and a search operation was underway to apprehend those responsible for the attack.
