Summary PTA has decided to keep close mobile phone service in Karachi and other parts of the province.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) has taken decision to suspend mobile phone service across Sindh till Saturday 5pm.
As part of security arrangements in the wake of general election, PTA has decided to close mobile phone service from 8.00pm today (Friday) to 5.00pm tomorrow (Saturday).
Earlier, the caretaker regime had announced that the mobile phone service will not be closed on polling day but the Election Commission expressed fear that it could be closed to avoid terrorism attacks on Election Day (May 11).
