Lahore: Several injured in PTI, PML-N workers clash

Summary Clashes between PTI and PML-N workers in Lahore and Rawalpindi left several people injured.

 

LAHORE (Dunya News) - According to details, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf workers took out a rally on motorcycles in Garhi Shahu area on Wednesday. A clash broke out between workers of PTI and PML-N When the rally passed in front of PML-N election office in the area as a result several workers of both parties were wounded.

 

Police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. The injured were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.

 

Earlier, some unidentified persons opened fire at the vehicle of PML-N candidate and former Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Mashood on Bund Road due to which two people were injured.

 

Meanwhile, PML-N and PTI workers also clashed on Murree Road in Rawalpindi. The angry workers pelted stones on each other due to which several activists of both parties were wounded.

 

Murree Road was blocked for all kind of traffic after the incident. Police from Satellite Police Station and Sadiqabad Police Station reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
