Summary At least 18 people were injured in a bomb blast in Mahmoodabad area of Karachi on Wednesday.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - According to details, a powerful blast occurred outside a bakery in Mahmoodabad No 6 on Wednesday night due to which 18 people, including four children.
Police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to the Jinnah Hospital.
Panic gripped the area after the blast. According to DIG South, Ameer Sheikh, the bomb was planted in a cement block which was fixed under a vehicle.
According to sources, two kilogram of explosive material was used in the blast.
Bomb disposal squad and other investigation teams toured the incident spot and collected evidences. Meanwhile, MQM chief Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the blast in Karachi and expressed his sympathies with the injured people.
