Summary The ECP has said that no person will be allowed to cast vote without having original CNIC.

 

ISLAMABAD (Online) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said that no person will be allowed to cast vote at the polling station without having original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).

 

A spokesman of the Commission advised people to bring their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) for casting vote in the general elections.

 

No other document including the copy of CNIC passport and driving license would be acceptable for casting vote.

 

In reply to a question he said as per election laws anyone having expired Computerized National Identity Cards can cast his/her vote.
