Quetta (Online): At least two policemen were wounded in a blast outside police station in Kechi Baig area of Quetta, officials said on Wednesday.


This was sixth blast in the troubled capital of terrorism-hit province of Balochiustan in 24 hours and second on Wednesday.


According to security officials unknown miscreants lobbed a hand grenade outside Kechi Baig Police Station in Saryab area of Quetta which resulted injuries to two cops.


Hours before, at least 13 people including two children were injured in a bomb blast in Quetta’s Satellite Town area on Wednesday morning.


According to officials, the blast occurred near a private hospital and the bomb was planted on a bicycle which was detonated using a remote control.


According to preliminary investigation, at least two kilograms of explosives were used in a blast.


Later, police shifted the injured to the Civil Hospital where the condition of two wounded was reported as critical.


Moreover, police and Frontier Corps (FC) cordoned off the area and started their investigation.


Earlier, on Tuesday, at least six people were killed and more than 45 others were injured in a powerful explosion in Nichari road area of Quetta.


The banned Lashkar-i-Jhangvi (LJ) claimed responsibility for the car bomb attack. A spokesman for the group, Abubakar Siddiq, called local reporters and said it had carried out the attack.
