Summary The ECP has approved shipment of ballot papers to 14 districts in Balochistan by air routes.

 

QUETTA (Online): Election Commission of Pakistan ECP has approved shipment of ballot papers to 14 sensitive districts in Balochistan by air routes.

 

It may be recalled that the ECP had declared 75 percent of polling stations in 14 districts, including Quetta, Khuzdar, Mastung, Kharan, Panjgur and Gwadar sensitive.

 

The ECP had contacted defense ministry for the shipment of ballot papers to these areas by air routes.

 

Sources told a private TV channel that the proposal has been approved and now C-130 planes would carry ballot papers to Quetta, Gwadar and Jacobabad.

 

From Quetta onward, these packages would be airlifted to Mastung, Kalat, Kharan, Khuzdar, Awaran and other areas.

 

The same facility would be used to transfer ballot papers to Zhob, Musa Khel, Barkhan, Kohlu and Dera Bugti.
