Summary PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan says ex-president Pervez Musharraf has right to defend him in all cases.
LAHORE (Dunya News): Senior advocate Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan has said that the former president Pervez Musharraf has the right to defend himself against his cases but he can no longer become national hero.
He expressed these views while talking to media persons outside the court here on Tuesday.
Aitzaz Ahsan said “The former president has every right to defend himself during the cases but he should accept that he cannot become a national hero”.
Ahsan added that the violence on supporters of Pervez Musharraf by lawyers in Rawalpindi was inappropriate.
Replying to a question, he said that the government had issued directives to reduce the security of former Prime Ministers Raja Pervez Ashraf and Yousaf Raza Gilani whilst the Sharif Brothers enjoy seamless security.
