Summary Increase in salaries and perks of MPAs by former Sindh government has been challenged in the SC.

 

ISLAMABAD (Dunya Web) - The applicant made caretaker Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, Provincial Secretary Law and Justice and Secretary Sindh Assembly party in the case.
 

 

He took plea in his application that during the last few days of Sindh government , provincial assembly had passed the resolution regarding increase of pay , allowances and other facilitates for the outgoing assembly members.
 

 

According to resolution passed by former Sindh Assembly, the salary of MPAs was enhanced by 60 percent while they would enjoy lifetime amenities like private secretary, cook, driver, traveling allowance and medical. In addition to this they would also avail state protocol and stay at government houses on government expenses for whole life.
 

 

The applicant requested the court that these perks and facilities to MPAs is the violation of law and the court should declare the amendment null and void.
