Summary Militants blew up a government run girls school with explosives here on Sunday.
BANNU (Online) - According to local police, unknown militants had planted explosives material in government School of the Bannu city which exploded with a loud bang.
As a result of blast the school building was badly damaged but no injury or causality was reported as the building was empty at the time of explosion.
Locals said that it was high intensity blast heard in one kilometer area creating panic and fright among the dwellers.
Taliban militants have been attacking schools in tribal region and terrorism-hit province of Khyber-Pakhtonkhaw asserting that education of girls is prohibited in Islam.
