KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Sindh High Court on Friday approved pre-arrest bail of the former president Gen. (retd) Pervez Musharraf.
While granting the 10-day-long protective bail, the court directed the former president to furnish surety bond worth Rs 100,000.
The application for pre-arrest bail was in relation to the Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO) Judges case which dates back to a move made by the former president in 2007.
Pervez Musharraf, who has been in exile since 2009 after the PPP government was elected to power, is expected to return to Pakistan on March 24.
Musharraf has also been named as a prime accused in the murder cases of former Prime Minister and PPP Chairperson, Benazir Bhutto, Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Bugti and in the Lal Masjid case but has so far failed to present himself before the court.
