Swine flu kills one in Rawalpindi

Summary Swine flu had been diagnosed in two patients in Rawalpindi and one of them passed away.

 

RAWALPINDI (Online) - The Punjab Health Services (PHS) ratified death of swine flu patient and announced that swine flu has been diagnosed in two patients unfortunately both are brothers.

 

Director General PHS, Nisar Ahmed Cheema on Thursday said that both cases of flu were reported from Gujar Khan. One person has passed away while the tests of other brother are also positive.

 

Nisar Ahmed Cheema said that monitoring teams have started work in the affected areas. The patient of swine flu is under observation in Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi and doctors have started tests of his family members as well as of the hospital staff deputed for his treatment, he added.

 

Cheema directed the staff of the hospitals to take safety measures and said that all medicines are available in the hospitals.
