ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Secretary Ishtiaque Ahmad has said that the schedule of election-2013 would be after ten days.
Talking to media, Ishtiaque Ahmad said that only ten days left for the dissolution of the parliament and added whatever is to be done has to be done within these ten days.
Responding to a question, ECP secretary said that nomination paper draft has been sent to the law ministry after making few changes.
He said a meeting will also be held in the Election Commission to finalize the nomination paper format tomorrow.
Ishtiaque Ahmad said the election process is already in progress and the commission has notified the names of Returning and Assistant District Returning officers, adding that the commission was also receiving applications from the political parties for allotment of symbols.
Referring to the dissolution of assemblies after ten days, the ECP secretary said in this short period we have to develop our system including online confirmation of the nomination papers and the manual system.
