Summary Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed the Hajj Agreement 2013 on Wednesday.

 

It was signed by Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Shah and Saudi Hajj Minister Bandar Al Hajjar in Jeddah on Wednesday.


Under the agreement‚ 1,80,000 Pakistani pilgrims will perform Hajj this year. Of these‚ half will go by official scheme while the rest by private operators.


Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Shah said some forty thousand Pakistanis will be sent directly to Madina Munawarra. He said the acquisition of residences will be difficult due to expansion of Haram this year. He said due to this factor the quota for Hajj could not be increased.
