SAHIWAL/CHICHAWATNI: Two roadside mishaps resulted in the deaths of at least 11 passengers and hospitalization of near 14 here on Tuesday night.
Rescue sources said a passenger bus en route to Raiwaind ran into a trailer near Multan Road Chowki Bypass killing 8 of the travelers on board and injuring 14 more. Reportedly the fateful bus had started its journey from Multan somewhere around midnight but met with an accident near Sahiwal.
In another tragedy at least three of a family succumbed to a head-on-collision between a jeep and a car on Burewala Road near Chichawatni. At least four people were also injured critically in the mishap.
