Summary A three-member bench of the Supreme Court heard a case regarding law and order situation.
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry has ordered Sindh police to arrest the assassins of MQM MPA Manzar Imam by tomorrow.
Directing to arrest the killers of Muttahida’s MPA by tomorrow, the CJ asserted if his assassins cannot be arrested, then no one else is likely to be captured.
Confessing the Karachi situation is not under 100 percent control, the Chief Secretary said a committee has been formed for the arrest of the MPA’s killers. Responding to this, the Chief Justice said he does not believe in committees.
The CJ queried as to how many bodies were recovered from the city today. The police officials responded five bodies were found by late previous night and three more were recovered early this morning.
The CJ said the newspaper reports said Ajmal Pahari and Kamran Madhoori have been released. On this, police officials said they were under pressure from the courts for the release of Pahari.
On this, the CJ noted the court will issue the release order in absence of evidences.
