Summary President Zardari has summoned separate sessions of the Senate and National Assembly on January 21.
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali has summoned separate sessions of the Senate and National Assembly at Parliament House in Islamabad on Monday‚ 21st January at 5 pm.
The sessions would discuss the caretaker setup and would debate on the suggestions that were given in an opposition parties meeting headed by PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif on January 16 in Raiwinfd.
The governing and opposition parties would express their determination to safeguard the democratic process in the country and would vow to foil any step to derail democracy.
According to the sources, during the present sessions of Senate and National Assembly, the government may announce the dates of dissolution of the assemblies and next general elections.
The Senate and the National Assembly would also discuss the situation created during the long march and sit-in of Minhajul Quran chief Dr Tahirul Qadri.
