Summary USA would provide technical support to judiciary in training the specialized judges of Pakistan.
ISLAMABAD: The American judges would impart training to Pakistani judges and prosecutors at Federal Judicial Academy Islamabad.
This was agreed during the meeting of senior judge from State of California, USA David Carter Chief Justice of Supreme Court Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary held here on Tuesday.
The meeting also exchanged of views on further cooperation between judiciaries of Pakistan and State of California particularly in areas of judicial education and training.
David Carter, Federal Judge, State of California, USA called on the Honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan in Supreme Court Islamabad today.
The Honorable Judges discussed the issues/ matters of mutual interest relating to functioning of legal/judicial system in the two countries.
Judge David Carter stated that it is unique honor for him to meet the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary. He highly appreciated his role as Chief Justice of Pakistan in setting standard of judicial conduct and deciding cases strictly in accordance with constitution and law.
Judge David Carter extended invitation to CJP to visit the State of California. The souvenirs were also exchanged.
