Summary Goods Transporters have called off their strike after dialogues with government officials.

 

The goods transporters have ended their 11-day long strike after a meeting with two-member committee, formed by the prime minister to resolve the transporters issues.

 

Goods Transporters Association presented their 15-point demands to Federal Minister Babar Ghauri during their meeting held at the Maripur Truck Stand.

 

After successful dialogues with the tranporter, Federal Minister Babar Khan Ghauri deferred fine on load exceeding the limits for two months.

 

He said cases against office-bearers of Goods Transporters Association would be withdrawn, adding containers would not be taken from transporters to block to roads.

 

He further informed that KPT would provide Rs20 million to Sindh police for the purchase of containers.
