Quetta: Doctors' strike enters 52nd day

Summary Patients continue to suffer due to the ongoing strike of doctors in public hospitals.


QUETTA: Despite the recovery of Dr Saeed Ahmed Khan, the doctors continued their strike on 52nd consecutive day in all government-run hospitals of the province for the fulfillment of their demands.

 

The outdoor-patient departments (OPDs) and operations theatres remained closed in all public hospitals including Bolan Medical Complex hospital, Sandeman Provincial hospital, Fatima Jinnah hospital and others.

 

Meanwhile, section 144 is being imposed in all public hospital while the provincial government has sealed all private clinics.

 

The army doctors haven’t reached the hospitals as yet while the young doctors are referring the critically ill patients  to visit CMH.

 

Meanwhile, no consensus has been reached between the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Balochistan chapter and provincial government.
