Summary Nisar Khuro says decision of engaging army and FC in voters’ verification in Karachi is unwise.
KARACHI: Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Khuhro said seeking armed forces’ help in Karachi in presence of civil institutions is not a wise decision.
Khuhro expressed his unhappiness over the Supreme Court decision in which it ordered the Election Commission of Pakistan to get army and FC involved in verification of electoral rolls in Karachi, terming it an ‘unwise decision’.
“It seems that Supreme Court is not satisfied with Election Commission’s performance. Seeking armed forces’ help in presence of civil institutions is not a wise decision. It is beyond understanding,” the speaker said.
“Such attempts pave the way for attack on the democracy and politics,” he said.
