KARACHI: Addressing party workers’ gathering at Jinnah Ground via telephone from London, MQM chief Altaf Hussain said those who were trying to hatch conspiracies against the MQM would be eliminated.
He said that delimitation of electoral constituencies was not the job of the courts, and it would not help the cause of peace.
Altaf said only the Election Commission had the authority to undertake the process of delimitation of constituencies. MQM will not allow anyone to usurp its democratic rights or to derail democracy, he said.
Altaf said all citizens enjoy equal rights as per constitution, adding feudal system cannot be finished without a favourable delimitation of the constituencies.
The MQM chief said the law and order situation is affected when institutions cross their limits.
