SC orders Malik to submit non-British certificate

A two-member bench headed by Chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the petition pertaining to the dual nationalities of parliamentarians.The interior minister submitted his reply in Supreme Court which stated that he held british national when he was exiled for nine years.Malik further claimed that he cancelled his nationality before taking charge in 2008.Meanwhile, the lawyer sought more time for submitting certificate as he mentioned that his client was in Britain.Adding remarks, Chief justice said that Rehman Malik should be told to bring his certificate on his way back to home.Meanwhile, Fara Naz Aspahani sought time to submit her reply in court. The advocate on record told the court that Fara needs time to hire a lawyer.The court adjourned the hearing till May 16.
