Summary SC has adjourned the hearing of case regarding Balochistan's law and order situation till April 12.
During the hearing of case pertaining to law and order situation in Balochistan, Quetta police presented four people out of seven before the court who had gone missing from Saryab road.Malik Sher and three brothers- Hazar Khan, Mizar Khan and Javed were presented before the court where they met their wives while Amir Khan, Mir Khan and Gul Mir have still not been recovered by the police.Expressing displeasure over the absence of attorney general, Chief Justice lamented that attorney general prefers Islamabad’s activities over deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan.Adding remarks, Chief Justice said why the attorney general is absent when the chief justice along with two senior SC’s judges are present for the hearing.Inspector-General FC also attended the hearing with respect to the killing of 2 people by security forces in Mastung. While questioning IG FC, Chief Justice asked why his force is one step ahead to police. The CJ said that FC was being accused of abducting people.Interior secretary told bench that 118 people have been killed in sectarian violence last year while 39 have been killed in the current year.On hearing the statistics, CJ Iftikhar Chaudhry called it the incompetence of police.On the recovery of mutilated bodies, Chief Justice also accused police for hiding facts.Talking to the media, one of the wives of the recovered person said that she is contended with the performance of the judiciary.Adjourning the hearing till April 12, court ordered to present rest of the three missing persons on Monday while SHO of New Saryab was directed to recover Hazaar Khan in next 24-hours.A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case regarding deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan at Supreme Court’s Quetta registry.
