Summary SC resumes hearing case regarding deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan.
During the hearing of missing persons’ case, the CJP Iftikhar Chaudhry inquired about the number of bodies received so far.Calling the situation in Balochistan unsatisfactory, CJP questioned Attorney General about the non-registration of FIR in case of missing persons being murdered.In response to the CJP’s query, Attorney General replid the incidents of target killings have reduced by 90 percent in Balochistan.During the hearing, the CJP sought a report over the burning of a house in Putfeede and directed the Attorney General to carry out an investigation in this regard.One of the members of the bench, Justice Khilji Arif Hassain remarked that the Chief Minister should have taken effective steps over the statement of Interior Minister.The case was heard by a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry.
