Summary The LHC has sought reply from the government and the OGRA regarding fresh increase in POL prices.
Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court Shaikh Azmat Saeed heard a petition regarding the increase in petroleum price. The petitioner’s counsel informed the court that a petition regarding the hike in POL prices has already been pending in the court, while the government made a fresh increase and that would add the miseries of the poor.He said that the government had made no policy for increasing the POL prices. He requested the court to declare the fresh surge null and void. The court issued notices to the government and the OGRA for 24th April.
