Summary Police have registered a case against more than 300 protesters for damaging public property.

Police register a case against industrial workers on the charge of damaging and torching public property and a bank.On the other hand, protesters have been reported from Faisalabad, Lahore and other cities on the third consecutive day against hours-long power loadshedding.Large number workers of Faisalabad industries gathered, torched tyres and blocked Narh Wala, Jhang and Smandri Roads. They also shouted slogans against the government.Protestors were of the view that they were facing loadshedding for more than 18 hours out of 24 hours. This situation has multiplied their suffering as they have no activities and opportunities to earn their livings. Their families are compelled to die of starvation and hunger.The country is in severe grip of loadshedding, forcing irked residents to come to the streets. Some areas have been facing load-shedding for over 18-20 hours a day.On Sunday, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif also criticised the federal government and said that Punjab is being targeted with loadshedding for 20-20 hours. Shahbaz will visit Faisalabad on Monday to express solidity with the protesters.Ministry of Water and Power said on Sunday that current crisis of loadshedding was due to annual renovation and mechanical faults with the power plants and it would be resolved within 48 hours.
