SC takes suo moto of torture on teacher in Sargodha

Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry took the suo moto of severely torturing a teacher by Aslam Madhyana an ex-MPAand father of a sitting PPP MPA Awais Madhyana in Sargodha and ordered Punjab Police Inspector General to submit a report on March 28.On the other hand, traders held a shutter-down strike against the torture and transfer of Sargodha District Police Officer Dr Rizwan.The protestors were of the view that if the federal government did not cancel the transfer of DPO Sargodha and do not stop patronizing influential accused, the series of strikes would be expanded across the district.They said that this rally was not for Dr Rizwan but they were raising voice in the favour of an honest police officer who took action for provision of justice to the feudal-hit teacher in accordance with rule of law.
