(Dunya News) – In the green fields of a small village Luni located near Sibi in Balochistan, a shepherd by the name of Habibullah sits under the shade of trees, busy crafting models from wood.

While he has not received any formal training but with his innate skills he has crafted artistic models using wood.

“Call it God-gifted talent. I have been very good at drawing since school,” says Habibullah. Having been exposed to various art works in Karachi, Habibullah found his true calling.

The artist has been crafting models since February 2007. And well into a decade later, while he wants his art pieces to go places, financial troubles have prevented him to do so.

“Such work is usually sent abroad where there is a huge demand for it. But due to the ongoing situation, this business is not doing well,” he says.

While Habibullah has created several models using wood from various trees, including shisham, he finds no audience to appreciate his artistic talents in this small village tucked away in Balochistan.
