Summary A private backstage lounge for Oscar presenters and honorees is ready for guests to arrive. It is called the Greenroom; the inviting retreat is the creation of Architectural Digest and interior designer Michael S. Smith.
This year the Greenroom recreated a 1940s-style library to celebrate the elegance of Hollywood during its so-called Golden Age. Smith said the plush room has been decorated with a warm color palette to both present a sophisticated atmosphere and offer a relaxing area for the stars to gather before they take the stage. The Greenroom is located inside the Kodak Theatre. Stars will be able to enjoy the lounge and maybe even rehearse their lines during the 83rd Annual Academy Awards on Sunday 27th February 2011 in Hollywood.
