Summary Vivienne Westwood found inspiration from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland on Sunday in her latest collection for her diffusion Red Label line at London Fashion Week.
The doyenne of British fashion sent her models down the runway in varying crown sizes, from oversized hats trimmed with hair plaits to miniscule, almost tiara-like pieces. A jumper colour blocked with red, cream and navy blue looked as if it could have been worn by the Mad Hatter himself, while other models wore rollers in their hair with a scarf tied around it, possibly a reference to Queen Elizabeth herself, minus the rollers.Westwoods trademark tartan print could be found on tennis skirts, shawls and even the British essential, Wellington boots. Model Daisy Lowe took to the catwalk while other celebrities like Jaime Winstone, Girls Aloud singers, and songstress Paloma Faith sat front row. Other high-profile guests included tennis player Boris Becker, Duran Duran guitarist Nick Rhodes and artist Tracy Emin.
