Summary ADB has showed its willingness to collaborate National Vocational and Technical Training Commission.
It aims at promoting the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Sector of Pakistan.
A three member visiting delegation headed by Joao Farinha-Fernandes, Economist (Financial Sector) Financial Sector, Public Management and Trade Division, Central and West Asia Department, Asian Development Bank Called on the Chairman National Vocational and Technical Training Commission(NAVTTC) Muhammad Mumtaz Akhtar Kahloon here on Wednesday.
The both sides, in the meeting which was originally scheduled for 30 minutes only, lasted for 2 hours, held exhaustive discussion on Technical and Vocational Education and Training Sector of Pakistan and the possible areas of collaboration between the Asian Development Bank and the NAVTTC for positive expansion of TVET Sector especially its reforms and addressing the challenges.
The discussion started after the Chairman NAVTTC gave a brief resume of TVET Sector of Pakistan and the mandate given by law to NAVTTC for addressing the issues. The two sides agreed for a close interaction and a follow up of Wednesday’s session.
