Summary The PU has opened Admissions in post-graduate diploma in Applied Economics one-year evening program.
According to Department of Economics, the last date of form submission is October 15.This is the first program of its kind in Pakistan started in 1996. The Diploma will enable the participants to apply basic economic concepts to understand and solve practical problems of our time.The course is especially useful for candidates of CSS, PCS, Banking and Finance, Public Service Commissions and Diploma in Banking examinations.This course will be equally useful for students and serving people having interest in economics The Diploma holders can apply for admissions to M.Sc. Economics (Morning), M.Sc. Economics (Replica) and MBEcon programs offered by the Department, as nine special seats have been reserved for them in each of these programs.Best of all, the Diploma provides the participants a unique opportunity to study the fascinating subject of economics in a very competitive and conducive environment.The PGDAE is open to all the graduates (i.e. BA, B.Sc., B.Com, MBBS, BSc. Eng., BBA or equivalent). Admission is open to fresh as well as old graduates. There is no age limit. The admission will be based on merit. Merit will be determined by taking into account candidates performance at matriculation, intermediate and graduation levels. Application forms and Prospectus are available from the Department of Economics, University of the Punjab, Quaid-e-Azam Campus, Lahore.The last date of submission of applications, complete in all respects, is 15 October, 2012 up to 4:00 PM.
