Lahore: Inter-collegiate games start from Sep 25

The taekwando competitions will be conducted at the sport hall of the Punjab College of Commerce, Muslim Town Mor. Venues and dates for cricket ties will be subject to availability of grounds.Rowing and boxing events would be organized at Punjab College of Commerce, New Muslim Town, but the dates would be announced later, said the announcement.The body building event would be held on Sept 26 at the Government College (Boys), Sabzazaar; wrestling at Punjab College of Commerce, Muslim Town Mor, on Sept 28 and swimming at FCC University on Sept 29 and 30.The weight-lifting competitions would be held on Oct 6 and 7 at the Government College (Boys), Sabzazaar; volleyball on Oct 9 and 10 at the Government College (Boys), Township; football from Oct 11 to 15 at Punjab College of Commerce, Thokar Niaz Beg ground near EME scheme; gymnastics on Oct 13 at GC University; cycling on Oct 14 at Lahore BISE; badminton from Oct 15 to 17 at GC University; table tennis on Oct 17 and 18 at GC University; hockey on Oct 19 to 22 at National Hockey Stadium and athletics on Oct 23 and 24 at Lahore BISE.Tennis competitions would be held on Oct 5 and 6 at the GC University; kabaddi from Oct 12 to 14 at Government Islamia College (boys), Kasur; squash on Oct 15 and 16 at GC University and handball from Oct 26 to 28 at Government Islamia College, Railway Road.Basketball competitions would be held from Dec 1 to 3 at Government Islamia College, Railway Road; cross-country on Dec 8 at Ikhwan Science College, Burki Road.The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) is going to celebrate the World Space Week (WSW) 2012 in 10 major cities from October 4-10.These cities include Islamabad, Karachi, Quetta, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Gilgit, Hyderabad, Bhawalpur, Lahore and Abbotabad. The World Space Week is an international celebration of science and technology, and their contribution to the betterment of the human condition.
